Got the itch.
I was in Vegas with my girl to meet up with my Mom a month ago for 11-11-11 and I noticed how my game has declined a whole lot. I am in need of a serious game so I can shape up on the tables.

"You really are a tournament player."
I played in a tourney hosted by Eddie and I finished 2nd Place. This was the first tourney that I've played in that had only one table, so it didn't last that long. It was an interesting tournament and I had a good game going. I won my first big hand by setting a trap from a player to my right who raised double the big blind in fourth position. I called behind him intending to make a play if I caught a piece of the flop. I read the guy, and guessed that he had two painted cards with no Ace. So when the flop came it was:
Inauguration Day: And the BIG Winner Is?!
The first Thursday night poker game at Wild Cards was held on May 18, 2011. Finally we are active. I would like to say thanks to Eddie, Tony, Gabe, Dave, Zach, Pete, and lastly Jessica (sorry that you got lost) for being a part of the inaugural group. I learned a lot that night concerning how to organize a game. The games will get better and better. We will get a few more players in the rotation and a wider selection as far as refreshments and chow. I will also work on the environment and make it more relaxing for everyone.
Congratulations to Pistol Pete for being the big taker of the night. Pete played well and took good advantage of his rush, while at the same time protected his stack. I wanna say sorry to Gabe for loosing his keys, but I have good news because I found them (that will be on another blog)and will return them to Gabe as soon as I can. If anyone has anything to add to help make the game better, let me know and I will take your advice in consideration.
Thanks.

That's Poker.
I've played 3 tourneys so far at Pearl City and I seem to have been going out earlier each time. My first time I came in 5th. My second tourney there I came in at 11 or 12... and now on my latest outing I went out around the late 20th to early 30th place. Although, I played pretty tight and going out with AK off-suit (Spade and Club) on the SB, against a pre-flop raise from the button with a call from this wild man on seat 2. Three players on a race and I flopped my straight with 10 Hearts, J Spades, Q Hearts. So button man raised all in with the rest of his chips, I call right off the bat and the crazy guy call without hesitation (this fucker really was just getting a good run of cards because his game play was just retarded). When wild man called I was worried that he was going for a flush. When the turn came it was A of Hearts and my heart sunk. I only had a few chips left and went all in. Crazy man calls and I just had this sick feeling that he caught. But what made me really sick is what he turned up. K3 of Hearts! He called a substantial raise and a call with that hand! Button man showed pocket tens which flopped him a set. But K3 took us both out. Sickening. But hey, that's poker.
