My Worst Bad Beat... So Far.

My worst bad beat was my quad Queens beat by quad Aces which played out at the Mandalay bay poker room. I had pocket Queens on big blind and when it was my turn to act I re-raised someone that raised the normal three times the big blind. And this person and another was in the hand with me. When the flop hit, I couldn't believe my luck, there was an Ace sandwiched in between my two Queens!!! So, naturally I was just set. I had the NUTS, right?! Or at least at the time I had the nuts. So the guy who was in the hand for no reason checked and the guy who made the initial raise, raised the pot and I just call, hoping to keep the fish in for one more bet. Sure enough the other guy who had no business being in the hand called as well. The turn comes and bang... another Ace! This got me a little worried that maybe, just maybe that the guy who made the initial raise had AA, but after the turn hit and he bet light I thought... OK if this guy had the nuts he would be more likely to check and set a trap. So I went all in, confident that I had the best hand for sure. The fish called and the raisor called my all in and he had me covered. We both turn our cards and to my excitement, to my opponents dismay, and to the oohs and ahhs of everyone else at the table I showed quads and the other guy shows aces full, with AK in his hand! This pot had about 1600 dollars in it and it was payday for me. At least that was the case until the river hit and it popped the final Ace in the deck! My ass sunk onto my chair and I was just well, in shock. Lady Luck was not in my corner for that round and it stung really bad. So the next thing I do is look at the bad beat jackpot and whatdya know, at the time they didn't have it. I don't know if they have it now because I never played at the Mandalay Bay Poker Room since.
